Charleston is a style of dance from the 1920s and was danced to ragtime jazz music in speakeasies by flapper babes and dapper gents. It has a quick paced 4/4 time rhythm and is addictive as it is challenging. Charleston can be danced solo, with a partner or in a group with the basic steps involve kicking and swinging the arms and having a swell old time.
