COVID-19 Safety Plan

Our new world of normal is very different! As a dance studio, we have a duty of care to our students and the community - your health and safety is our priority. Sydney Vintage Dance Studio has put together a COVID-19 Safety Plan in order to protect our community and those close to them.

Keeping everyone safe is all of our responsibility, we strongly encourage all of our students and any studio visitors to read through this plan and take it into consideration when visiting our space.

Our day to day COVID safety at Sydney Vintage Dance Studio:

  • Book your classes online and ahead of time

  • Arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your class starting, this is to ensure our reception area doesn’t become too crowded

  • Check in using our QR code located next to our door

  • Wear a mask (see below for more information)

  • Social distance where possible while in the studio

  • Use your own hand sanitiser or the one provided next to our door

QR   Code Check In

We are currently mandated by NSW Health to QR check in when visiting public spaces.

Our QR code is displayed next to our front door when you enter the studio. Please ensure you scan the code and check in via the Service NSW app.

Stay at home if you're unwell

If you are exhibiting any cold/flu-like symptoms or are feeling under the weather, please advise the studio via email and stay at home. Please monitor your symptoms and ensure you follow the necessary precautions (such as testing with a RAT or PCR) before returning to the studio. If you are required to isolate, please follow the directions from NSW Health before returning to the studio.

Face Masks

We ask that all students wear face masks when arriving at the studio and when moving through the common areas, unless they have a medical exemption. While face masks are not mandatory while partaking in your chosen class, we do encourage wearing a face mask if you are able.

While wearing your face mask, please ensure you are wearing them correctly and both your nose and mouth are covered.

Our studio policy is that all instructors will wear masks while teaching, where able.

Smaller class sizes, last minute changes & Social Distancing

Studio Hygiene Practices

Missed Classes

In line with advice from NSW Health, we are practicing social distancing while in the studio. Where possible please be mindful of your fellow students and ensure a safe distance is between you.

Our class sizes have been lowered to ensure we are in line with the health mandates.

Given the nature of our current environment, our class instructors may be subject to change due to isolation and COVID. All students will be informed as soon as we can if any changes are to occur. We ask for your patience and understanding during this time.

We have increased our cleaning practices of the studio and all high touchpoints within. We are using hospital grade products to minimise risk and increase the safety of our students and instructors.

Hand sanitiser is available at the entry to our studio. Our bathrooms are equipped with adequate soap and encourage increased hand hygiene during this time.

If you have missed a class due to isolation and/or COVID, please get in touch with the studio directly. Where possible we will arrange a make up class in another course within one month of missing the original class (subject to availability).

Online Classes

During lockdown or extended periods of movement restrictions, our classes may go virtual. This means we will offer select classes live via Zoom. In order to attend you will need to have an active Zoom account and a computer, laptop, tablet or phone. Then check out our Course Guide and head to our Booking Page.

Thank you for your ongoing support during this time. If you have any questions, please contact us directly through our Contact Us page - we will get back to you as soon as we can.
